Actor
by 1TheCrazy
Actor is a library that lets a program drive the player the way a person would, by pressing keys and clicking the mouse, on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt.
What it does
Actor exposes an API for controlling player actions from code. Developers use it as a dependency for their own mods, tools and automation. Other mods that require it need it installed alongside them, and installing Actor on its own adds no new items, commands or gameplay changes.
The library targets scripted automation: test bots, tool-assisted runs with deterministic input playback, scripted movement with rotations, and block interactions such as placing, using or attacking. Actions run on the game tick, so logic written against it follows the normal game loop. The author describes the player-like behavior as native to the client and intended to respect real gameplay limits. Files are published for 1.21.10 and 1.21.11 under the MIT License, and the project is open source.
Actor is client-side only, so the client needs it and servers do not. The source code, issue tracker and wiki are public, and a catalog entry for a mod that builds on it may name Actor as a required dependency.
Key features
Player action API
A programmable interface drives the player through key presses, mouse clicks and movement, as an input source.
Tick-based control
Scripted logic runs inside the game loop, so each action happens on a specific game tick.
Block interactions
Placing, using and attacking blocks can be scripted without breaking the usual gameplay rules.
Deterministic input playback
Recorded input sequences can be replayed exactly, which suits tool-assisted runs and repeatable tests.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Mod developers who want a player-driving layer for their own tools, and testers who need repeatable scripted play. The mod has no gameplay of its own for regular players.
How it compares
BlockBuster engine is server-required with optional client support, under All rights reserved, and covers 1.21.9 – 26.1.2 across Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt. Wild Battle API runs on client and server, under All rights reserved, for 1.21.1 on Fabric and NeoForge. VoiceLib is open source under the MIT License, runs on client and server, and covers 1.21 – 1.21.1 on Fabric and NeoForge. Actor differs from all three in targeting 1.21.10 – 1.21.11 and in being client-side only.
