AcryliCraft
by DevBobcorn
With AcryliCraft installed, the Minecraft window on Windows 11 can show Fluent Design materials such as Mica and Acrylic, and the window background becomes translucent.
What it does
The client mod applies Windows 11 Fluent Design materials to the Minecraft window, including Mica and Acrylic effects, and can customize the border in dark mode. Those materials depend on the desktop, so the effects need Windows 11 from version 21H2 build 22000 onward, with the exclusive features requiring Version 22H2 and OS build 22621 or above. On other operating systems the mod can still make the window background transparent, and tools such as Blur Shell for GNOME can add further customization there.
AcryliCraft depends on Mod Menu and YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL). Mod Menu must be in the mods folder so the configuration screen can be opened in Fabric, and YACL provides the configuration library the mod uses. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and the mod is released under the MIT License, so it is open source. It is client-side only, so servers do not need it.
On Forge and NeoForge for 1.20 and above, the FML splash screen must be disabled with earlyWindowControl set to false in config/fml.toml so the game window can be translucent. Some NVIDIA graphics cards do not render translucency properly with Minecraft's GLFW window, which can make the background appear black. That is likely a driver issue, and switching to another installed graphics card can avoid it.

However, you can still utilize this mod on other operating systems to get the window background transparent, and then use other tools(e.g. Blur My Shell for GNOME) for further…
