ZynAutoEat
by Zynwro
ZynAutoEat is a client-side quality-of-life mod that eats food from the off-hand or hotbar when hunger drops, so the player can keep playing without opening the inventory.
What it does
When hunger falls, the mod picks food from the off-hand first and then from the hotbar. It keeps eating in smooth chains until the hunger bar is full, and it keeps the vanilla eating animation. Eating is triggered only in Survival mode, and the mod leaves control with the player.
Input handling is careful: right-clicking to open a GUI pauses the automatic eating, which resumes afterward. Fishing rods are treated safely, so no accidental cast or reel happens between bites. An in-game blacklist lets the player exclude specific foods, with a search field and toggle-all and reset buttons. Changes show as an action-bar message, which reads ZynAutoEat Enabled or Disabled.
ZynAutoEat is published for Fabric and Forge for 1.20.1 only. It is client-side only, so servers run without it and players join without installing anything on the server. The code is licensed All rights reserved and is not open source.
Key features
Off-hand priority
Food in the off-hand is eaten first, with the hotbar used as a fallback when the off-hand holds nothing edible.
Smooth chain-eating
Bites follow one another until the hunger bar is full, keeping the vanilla eating animation throughout.
Fishing-rod safety
Eating avoids accidental casts and reels between bites, so an active rod is not thrown while the player eats.
Searchable blacklist
Foods can be excluded through an in-game list with search, toggle-all and reset controls.
Action-bar toggle
A message on the action bar confirms whether auto-eating is enabled or disabled after each toggle.

What the author says
ZynAutoEat keeps your hunger full without stealing control from you. It automatically eats from your off-hand first, then main hand, then hotbar, and smoothly chains bites until full. It pauses the moment you right-click or open any GUI and resumes automatically afterward. Built as a lightweight client-side QoL mod…
