XP Storage
by Pardys
With XP Storage, players craft XP Books that hold experience so it can be kept after a death, and the stored levels can be returned later.
What it does
The mod lets a player store experience in XP Books. Each book can hold up to 15 levels by default, and the limit is set in the config. Books of any level can be upgraded with a crystallized lapis ingredient, and only that ingredient changes with the book's level.
Stored experience can be taken back in two ways: by withdrawing it the same way it was stored, or by brewing an XP Book at a brewing stand to make special Experience Bottles that give more experience. XP Storage is published for Fabric only, for 1.19 – 1.21.3, and it requires Fabric API. It is open source under the MIT License and runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it.
Key features
Craftable XP Books
XP Books are crafted from lapis lazuli, an amethyst shard and a regular book, so storage needs no command.
Level capacity
Each book holds up to 15 levels by default, and server owners can change the limit in the config.
Upgradable books
A crystallized lapis ingredient upgrades books of any level, and only the ingredient differs between levels.
Experience Bottles from brewing
Brewing an XP Book at a brewing stand yields Experience Bottles that grant more experience than the stored amount.

Use cases
Protecting experience before death
A player stores levels in a book before risky activity, so the experience can be recovered after dying.
Trading levels between sessions
Stored levels stay in the book until withdrawn, so a player can keep them in a chest for later use.
Who it’s for: Players who want to keep experience through risky play or save it for enchanting later, on single-player worlds and multiplayer servers that install the mod on both sides.
