Xerca's Building Blocks

The mod expands the block palette with decorative blocks, several of which also carry a function. Carved wood variants are cut at a Craft Carving Bench, which offers eight carving kinds for logs and nether stems, and the carved crimson and warped stems have special effects, such as glowing in the dark or a waving animation. Terracotta can be cut into tiles with a Stonecutter, which suits roofs and flooring. Leather blocks and simple blocks make use of leather, sugar cane and other materials that would otherwise sit unused.

The rope connects to neighboring blocks on the faces it touches and can be climbed, and sticky pistons can pull blocks with it. The bookcase is a functional counterpart to the bookshelf and stores only books and bookish items, while the chiseled bookshelf remains useful because it looks like a bookshelf. Redstone comparators read the fullness of these storage blocks. The straw block gives a tatami-style texture. Builds exist for Fabric and NeoForge, and the mod is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, with a source code repository and an issue tracker.
