Crosshair Bobbing
by Krash220
With View Bobbing turned on, Crosshair Bobbing makes the crosshair move with the view and play small animations tied to what the player does.
What it does
The crosshair follows the view bobbing that occurs as the player walks, so the reticle moves along with the camera instead of staying fixed. The bobbing animation only takes effect while View Bobbing is enabled in the game settings.
The mod adds further animations for actions: the crosshair shakes when the player attacks mobs or breaks blocks, charges while a bow, trident or crossbow is drawn, and plays a separate motion while the player eats or drinks. Mod Menu is optional and can be used to open the configuration screen. The client runs it alone, so a server does not need it. Builds exist on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, and the code is under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, making it open source.
Key features
Bobbing crosshair
The crosshair tracks the view bobbing while the player walks, matching the camera's movement.
Attack and block shake
The crosshair shakes when the player attacks mobs or destroys blocks, giving feedback on each hit.
Charging animation
Bows, tridents and crossbows show a charging animation on the crosshair while they are drawn.

Use cases
Playing with view bobbing
Players who keep View Bobbing on can have the reticle move with the camera during travel and combat.
Checking charge state
The charging animation gives a visual cue for how far a bow, trident or crossbow has been drawn.
Who it’s for: Players on the Fabric, Forge or NeoForge client who want a moving crosshair tied to their actions. Server owners do not need to install anything.
