Xatrix's Unfair Nether

by Xatrix-7155

Xatrix's Unfair Nether adds a harder progression to the Nether dimension, with new traps, effects, blocks and a new mob for Forge on 1.20.1.

ForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.20.1

What it does

The mod turns the Nether into a harder progression step by adding a few new traps, plants with new effects, new blocks and a new mob. The Servant is a semi-uncommon creature that spawns in the Nether Wastes and deals heavy damage with strong knockback, so a player cannot cross the Nether without proper gear. Water evaporates there because the dimension's temperature is high enough to burn most things. Geckolib and Kotlin for Forge are required, and the mod runs on client and server for 1.20.1 only.

Key features

  1. Nether traps

New traps are added to the Nether dimension, making travel through it more dangerous than in vanilla.

  2. The Servant mob

A semi-uncommon mob spawns in the Nether Wastes and deals heavy damage with strong knockback.

  3. New plants and blocks

Additional plants with new effects and new blocks are added to the Nether, with more planned for later.

What the author says

In reality, water evaporating in the Nether would mean the temperature of this infernal dimension would be high enough to burn anything inside, so with that small idea I decided to add that into the game, alongside a few other small features. This was mostly made as a fun experiment and for a video to run on my…
