What it does

The mod draws the world as a three-dimensional terrain map that can be rotated and zoomed, shown as an overlay with waypoints. A 3D map also displays cave views, so underground passages appear in the map rather than only the surface layer. Compatibility mode is detected automatically from the graphics card's capabilities, and players can turn it on manually with the forceCompatibilityMode option.

No required dependency is listed for NeoForge. Client and server must both run x3d map, and the server can allow chunk data sent from the server through the allowServerSentChunk setting. The code is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later, and the source code and issue tracker are public. Files target 26.1.2 only.
