MinePaperEngine turns the Minecraft window into a dynamic desktop wallpaper on Windows, running behind other applications.

What it does

After launch a tray icon appears, and a click on it switches the game between its normal window and wallpaper mode. In wallpaper mode the game keeps running in the background and gameplay can be resumed while it is shown. Frame rate should be limited by hand, and the HUD hidden before entering the mode. The code is under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only. The mod is for NeoForge and is client-side only, with files for 26.1.2 and 1.21.1 under game versions 1.21.1 – 26.1.2.

No. It only works on Windows systems. Other systems may be affected in theory, but the mod is built for Windows.
