WunderLib
by quiqueck
WunderLib gives mod authors a support library with typesafe config files, a grid-based UI layout system and simplified networking.
What it does
Config classes are declared as typed Java objects, and the library generates an automated settings screen from them so that values are read and written without manual parsing. Grid-based layouts place buttons, labels and other widgets on a fixed grid, which keeps custom screens aligned across window sizes. The networking layer wraps packet registration and sending so that a mod can exchange data between client and server with less boilerplate.
The library exists as a dependency rather than a standalone feature set. Mods that include it need Fabric API to be installed alongside it. Because the environment is client and server, both the server and every player need it for any mod that depends on it. Files are published for Fabric only, for 10 release versions across 1.21 – 26.3, with 26.301.1 for 26.3 as the latest file. Snapshot builds are published too, and the code is open source under the MIT License.
Key features
Typesafe config files
Config classes are typed Java objects, and an automated UI is generated from them for editing values in game.
Grid-based UI layout
Widgets are placed on a grid, so custom screens keep consistent spacing and alignment.
Simplified network management
Packet registration and sending are wrapped in a smaller API for passing data between client and server.
Additional utilities
Smaller helper functions support the other parts of the library, as the author describes in the project summary.
Compatibility

Use cases
Mod configuration
A mod author declares its options as config classes, and players change them through the generated screen instead of editing files.
Custom settings screens
Grid layouts let an author build options and menus without hand-placing every element.
Who it’s for: Mod developers building Fabric mods that need configuration screens, aligned UI layouts or client-server messaging. Players rarely install it directly, since it is a dependency for other mods.
