Worlium
Worlium replaces the vanilla cave generators with a Worley-noise carver that produces winding, interconnected cave systems across the overworld.
What it does
A density function named worlium:worley draws on seeded three-dimensional Worley cellular noise, read at its F1 and F3-edge values, and bends that signal with a two-dimensional Perlin field, so the carved tunnels stretch out and wind back on themselves rather than appearing as separate pockets. Depth scales the warp amplitude, so caves grow more chaotic closer to bedrock, and the carver eases back toward solid stone near the surface. Custom aquifer logic keeps caves from flooding with water, and large lava lakes appear near bedrock between y=-63 and y=-56.
Because the carver replaces vanilla cave generation and disables the stock carvers, vanilla worldgen runs with less work per chunk. Worlium also raises diamond rarity, removes the diorite, andesite and granite blobs, and keeps carvers from ending abruptly at oceans, rivers and other aquatic biomes with flat stone. The mod is server-side only, so players join without installing it. Fabric API and Lithostitched must both be present for it to work, and the Fabric and NeoForge builds draw their shared carver logic from one common module. Files exist for 1.21.11, 26.1, 26.1.1 and 26.1.2, with 2.5 for 26.1.2 as the latest build, published on 2026-05-25.
Key features
Worley noise caves
Cave layouts come from seeded 3D cellular noise, giving tunnels that wind and connect across large areas.
Flooding prevention
Custom aquifer logic stops caves from filling with water, so underground passages stay dry.
Adjusted ore and stone
Diamonds appear more often, and diorite, andesite and granite blobs are removed from generation.
Depth-based chaos
The warp strength increases with depth, so caves close to bedrock twist more than those near the surface.

What the author says
Worlium replaces all vanilla cave generators with a Worley-noise-based carver modeled on the classic Worley's Caves mod by fluke. The Worlium carver produces sprawling, winding, interconnected tunnels. From a gameplay perspective, the underground becomes a massive, labyrinth-like cave system that feels both…
