WorldEdit Items

by e-splat

WorldEdit Items adds three tool items that let players use WorldEdit's wand, navigation wand and super pickaxe functions without typing commands.

FabricForgeNeoForgeQuiltClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.12.2 – 26.1.2

What it does

The mod adds three new items: a Wand, a NavWand and a SuperPickaxe. Each one works with WorldEdit in place of the vanilla tools, so selections and edits can be made by holding an item. The author notes that the items are meant to replace the native objects WorldEdit otherwise uses, which can disrupt the normal play experience.

Holding a Wand, NavWand or SuperPickaxe is the way to trigger these features, and a selection tool option is available for those who want it. Once installed, players can try the Wand, Axe and NavWand and check the results in their own world. WorldEdit must be present for the items to do anything, so the mod is not useful on its own.

Fabric API is required on Fabric. Installation on Quilt uses the Quilt Standard library, and Forge needs its own libraries. The mod runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it, and it is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across 11 release versions, 1.12.2 – 26.1.2, under the MIT License.

Key features

  1. Wand item

A Wand item that makes WorldEdit selections and edits by holding it, instead of typing commands.

  2. NavWand item

A NavWand item for navigation actions within the WorldEdit workflow, usable alongside the Wand.

  3. SuperPickaxe item

A SuperPickaxe item that carries WorldEdit's pickaxe function, letting players act on blocks with a tool they can hold.

  4. Selection tool option

An optional selection tool setting lets players pick the tool type used for selections.
