Wonderland.jar, a Forge mod for 1.20.1, adds strange anomalies that stalk players and try to pull them into a dimension called Wonderland.

ForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.20.1

What it does

Some anomalies in the mod follow the player and eventually attempt to take them into the Wonderland dimension. Leaving Wonderland may not leave things in the main world unchanged, since conditions there can worsen afterward. Progress is slow and varies between worlds: the first visit can come early in play or only after many in-game days.

Entity frequency is set with a 1 in X value, so a setting of 3 means a 1 in 3 chance and a setting of 24 means a 1 in 24 chance. Raising a spawn value therefore makes the entity rarer, not more frequent. The mod requires Geckolib, which must be installed alongside it. Files are published for Forge 1.20.1 only, with the latest file 3.0.3 dated 2026-08-28. The environment is client and server, so the server and every player need the mod, and it is released under All rights reserved, which means it is not open source.

Key features

  1. Stalking anomalies

Several anomalies pursue the player over time and try to take them into the Wonderland dimension.

  2. Randomized progression

The timing of the first encounter varies from world to world, from early play to many in-game days later.

  3. Config spawn chances

Spawn values are set as a 1 in X chance, which the author documents in the config and in the FAQ.

  4. Escape routes

Some dimensions have white pillars or crystal blocks that lead out, though not every route is an exit.

Questions

Does Wonderland.jar require Geckolib?

Yes. Geckolib is a required dependency and must be installed alongside Wonderland.jar on Forge 1.20.1.

Does Wonderland.jar work in multiplayer?

The author states that it works in multiplayer, but it may be buggy. The server and every player need the mod installed.

How does the config spawn chance work?

Spawn values use a 1 in X system, so a higher value lowers how often an entity appears. Lowering the value raises its spawn rate.

Can a resource pack change the mod's textures?

Yes. To stop the mod from overriding textures, move Mod Resources below Default in the resource pack settings.
