Wandering Trader Maps changes which maps the Wandering Trader sells, giving players a way to buy treasure and stronghold maps in vanilla worlds.

What it does

Wandering Traders can sell maps to structures that vanilla Minecraft already generates. The rarer the structure, the more emeralds the map costs. A player may also be lucky enough to find a stronghold map for sale. The mod adds a new compass, crafted or purchased from a Wandering Trader; holding it in the main hand while a map is in the left hand points to the coordinates marked on that map. The mod is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.21 – 26.3, and is licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later, so its source code is open to the public.

    Maps to rarer structures are priced higher in emeralds, so the trade reflects how hard the structure is to find.

  2. Stronghold maps for sale

    Wandering Traders can occasionally sell a stronghold map, giving players a chance to locate one without exploring.

  3. Compass Map Tracker

    A new compass, obtained from a Wandering Trader or crafted, points to the coordinates on a map held in the other hand.
