VoiceChatModerator
by AveGamers
VoiceChatModerator is a Fabric client mod that shows which players are speaking through Simple Voice Chat, with optional live transcripts and local recordings.
What it does
The mod detects incoming voice activity from the Simple Voice Chat mod and makes it visible during play. A speaker overlay appears on the HUD, and the speaking player's name can be marked above the name tag. Depending on the settings, spoken content can also be shown as text in the overlay or above the player name tags.
Transcription from speech is an add-on that the player can switch off completely. Enabling it requires choosing a supported recognition method in the configuration. Players who only want the overlay and recording features can leave speech-to-text disabled. Recordings are stored locally in the Minecraft directory, where an in-game browser lists saved sessions with their audio and text. Individual recordings can be exported.
Installation needs Fabric API and Simple Voice Chat, and Mod Menu is optional. The mod is client-side only, so servers run without it. Files are published for Fabric across five release versions, 1.21.11 – 26.2, under the MIT License, which is not open source.
Key features
Live speaker overlay
A HUD overlay lists the players currently speaking on the voice channel, so their activity is visible without checking the chat.
Transcripts above name tags
Optional speech-to-text can show what a speaking player says above their name tag, in addition to or instead of the overlay.
Local recordings
Voice conversations can be saved with their audio and text to the local Minecraft directory, and the in-game browser lists saved sessions.
Individual recording export
Single recordings can be exported from the browser, so one conversation can be kept or shared without the rest of the archive.

How it compares
Voice chat visualizer is open source under the MIT License and is client-side only, with files for 1.21 – 26.3. Simple Voice HUD is also client-side only and licensed under the MIT License, but only has files for 1.21.8 and is not open source. Simple Voice Chat TTS is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later and reads voice text aloud rather than recording it.
