Vista Camcorders
Vista Camcorders adds a handheld recording device and blank cassettes for Vista, so players can capture footage in game and play back recorded tapes.
What it does
A camcorder records onto a blank cassette when one is inserted. Players start and stop recording from the device, and the result is an output of recorded cassettes that can be inserted again to record over or extend them. Two recording speeds are available: SP records at 30 fps for up to 2 minutes, while EP records at 15 fps for up to 4 minutes, so a player trades image smoothness for length.
The mod depends on Cloth Config API and vista, both of which must be installed for it to start. Simple Voice Chat is optional and is not needed to record. Files are published for Fabric and NeoForge, for 1.21.1 only, and the mod runs on client and server, so servers and every player need it. The code is not open source; it is released under the Creative Commons Attribution No Derivatives 4.0 license, which allows redistribution but not modified versions.
