Players build vineyard rows out of two-block-high grapevines and trellises, then cultivate red and white grape cultivars. Harvested grapes can be pressed into must and fermented, and pruning produces grape cuttings so the vineyard can be replanted. Trellises connect automatically at corners and junctions, can be placed on uneven terrain, and come in variants for the supported vanilla wood families. Prepared soil and a vineyard-condition inspection help when planning a site.

Wine quality is built across the whole production chain, from grape to bottle, rather than set in a single step. Each wine carries a persistent quality score from 0 to 100, grouped into six tiers. Higher tiers give stronger and longer-lasting benefits, more food-pairing potential and greater estimated value. Poor storage slowly damages a wine and can eventually spoil it. Because the identity of the grapes and the pressing, fermentation, ageing, bottling and cellar storage all carry through, two bottles from the same basic wine can develop into noticeably different vintages.

Cellars evaluate environmental conditions, and a well-designed cellar helps wine develop while a poor one progressively damages it. The mod offers several ageing strategies, including a balanced general-purpose option, instead of a single linear upgrade path. Vintner's Almanac is a crafted item that shows detailed wine information on demand, so ordinary item tooltips stay short. Vessels used for storage and ageing in cellars can also be examined in the world with the almanac. The mod requires Fabric API and runs on client and server; it is released under the MIT License and is open source.
