Villager Quests

by MidacoYT

Villager Quests lets villagers offer profession-based quests, each with its own rewards, tracked for every player.

ForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.20.1

What it does

Each villager can offer quests tied to their profession. A quest asks for an objective such as farming, fishing, hunting or crafting, and pays a reward chosen for that profession. Villagers offer one or two objectives at a time rather than long lists, and progress is saved separately for each player and each villager. A cooldown limits how quickly new quests can be requested, so a villager cannot be used to spam requests.

The mod is built for Forge on 1.20.1, and it runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Quests and the translated names of quest objectives, monsters and quest titles work with French and English. Modpacks that add their own items are supported. The project is released under All rights reserved and is not open source. Public issue reporting is available through its tracker.

Key features

  1. Profession-based quests

Villagers offer quests that match their profession, such as farming, fishing, hunting or crafting objectives.

  2. Per-villager progress

Quest progress and completion are saved for each player and each villager, so the same villager keeps their own record.

  3. Cooldown between requests

A cooldown system limits how often a player can take a new quest from the same villager.

  4. Quest button in trading

A dedicated quest button appears in the villager trading interface, opening the quest dialog directly.

  5. French and English text

Quest descriptions, titles, objectives and monster names such as Spider Zombie are translated into French and English.
