[ARCHIVED] Vietnam's Delight

by ZachsRoom

Vietnam's Delight adds Vietnamese dishes to Farmer's Delight Refabricated, from rice flour and noodles to banh mi and pho, for Fabric on 1.20.1.

FabricClient and serverMIT License1.20.1

What it does

Players start with Crafted Rice, which is made at a Crafting Table in several ways, and combine it with Rice Flour and wheat. Mixing water, wheat and rice flour at a Crafting Table produces a dough, which is shaped and cooked in a furnace or smoker to give the banh mi, a baguette whose name in Vietnamese means bread. Corn Starch comes from a recipe that can use corn from Cultural Delights, Haunted Harvest, Corn Delight, or any item carrying the c:seeds/corn tag, and rice flour can also be made from corn kernels.

Rice Batter is made by mixing water, rice flour and corn starch, and cooking it produces a rice noodle sheet. A cutting board turns the sheet into flat rice noodles, and those are combined with bones made into bone broth, meat and onion to make a pho bowl. The mod requires Farmer's Delight Refabricated, and the other mods named above add foods that work with it. Installation covers the server and each player's game. The license is MIT, and the project is not open source in the sense of a public repository, so the mod is free to use in modpacks with credit to the author. The mod is archived, with a 1.0.2 build for 1.20.1 as its only file.

What the author says

An add-on for Farmer's Delight Refabricated that add foods (and other items) from Vietnam. This mod is Fabric only for now. I don't know if porting it to Neo/Forge will be easy since I'm still new to developing mod.
