Vegan Life
by FunkyToc
Vegan Life is a server-required data pack and mod that changes how players obtain food, crafts and farm products, with a vegan play style as its focus.
What it does
Vegan Life sets up a playthrough in which meat, fish, wool and animal-derived items are removed or replaced, and players are guided toward plant-based alternatives. Advancements and tutorials explain the rules, and the in-game advancements panel can be opened with the default L key. Vegan Crafts and recipes cover items such as paper, feathers, hay, beds and string, and a totem stand can be built as a vegan variant.
The server must run the mod, while a client can join without installing it. Packaging is meant to make installation more convenient, and the data pack form lets a world use the rules without a Java mod loader. The author notes that the mod is intentionally neutral about diet choice, since it applies only to players who opt in. Files cover Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.17 – 1.21.11, and the code is released under the Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial No Derivatives 4.0 license, so the mod is not open source.
