VaultarHUD
by Iridium
VaultarHUD shows the progress of Vault Hunters 3rd Edition inside the game screen, so a player can follow a run without opening menus.
What it does
The HUD lists the items a player still needs for the vault altar and tracks them against the current vault crystal. It appears on its own when an inventory screen is open, and the Tab key brings it up during play. Pressing 0 switches it on or off, and the key bindings can be changed in the standard in-game controls menu.
Vault Hunters 3rd Edition must be installed next to the mod, because the HUD reads its progress. The mod is client-side only, so only the player needs it and the server runs without it. Files are published for Forge and cover 1.18.2 alone, with 1.3.1-1.18.2 as the latest file, dated 2026-07-11. The code is open source under the MIT License.
Ingredients with several variants, such as oak and birch logs, are handled by cycling through the options automatically, so the HUD keeps one entry per requirement. Settings for the layout and visibility, including whether the HUD shows within inventories and which type of inventory HUD appears, can be edited in vaultarhud-client.toml or with a config mod such as Configured.

How it compares
VH Companion Workstation is a Forge mod for 1.18.2 that runs on client and server and is open source under the MIT License. Vault GUI Upgrade is also a 1.18.2 Forge mod, but it is client-side only and under the Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial Share Alike 4.0 license, so it is not open source. What the author says
Adds a HUD opposite the bounty table HUD (when you press Tab) that shows a similar progress bar for items towards your current vault crystal. Required items that have variants (e.g. Oak logs, Birch logs) will cycle through the options automatically. Key bindings can be reconfigured from the standard in-game menu.
