VanillaCream
by qyl27
VanillaCream adds vanilla-styled food, flowers and a few gameplay tweaks to Minecraft, with the Cyan Rose as a rare rose variant.
What it does
The mod brings back the Cyan Rose and the Paeonia as flowers that generate in their own biomes, with the rose and the Cyan Rose appearing in biomes tagged for them. Roughly one in ten roses spawns as the rare Cyan Rose variant. Bread is made bigger from the same ingredients, and the new food gives 6 food and 7.2 saturation. Suspicious stew can carry its usual effects in the mod's version.
Gameplay additions cover night vision and dig speed effects, a redstone signal source that emits a 15 signal level toward the face it looks at, and a rename option that keeps a named animal always shown as a baby. Some entity types can only be grown through the mod's own rules. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. Files are published for Fabric and NeoForge, both for 1.21.1, with 1.0.0 as the latest release. The code is under a custom license and is not open source.
Key features
Cyan Rose variant
A rare Cyan Rose spawns in place of some roses, and the Paeonia returns as a generated flower.
Larger bread
Bread is crafted into a bigger loaf from the same ingredients, giving 6 food and 7.2 saturation.
Effects and signals
Night vision, dig speed and suspicious stew effects are added, along with a redstone source that outputs signal level 15.
Baby animal rename
A named animal can be renamed Peter Pan so it always shows as a baby, and only chosen entity types can be grown this way.

Use cases
Survival worlds
Players who want more flowers and food in a vanilla-styled world can use the new roses, the bread and the stew effects while keeping the base game's look.
Who it’s for: Players who want small vanilla-styled additions in survival or on a server with a few extra flowers, food and effects. The mod is not meant for large content overhauls.
How it compares
Retro Foliage is a NeoForge mod for 1.21.8 with the same client and server environment, under All rights reserved and not open source. Roses+ targets Fabric for 1.21.8, also under All rights reserved. VanillaCream is published for Fabric and NeoForge on 1.21.1 only, so a player on a newer game version needs one of the other mods instead.
