Useful Saved Hotbars
by ToBinio
Useful Saved Hotbars lets a player store the nine hotbar slots and recall them with a single keypress, using a saved-hotbar selection screen.
What it does
Holding F3 and pressing a number key opens the saved-hotbar menu, and releasing F3 loads or saves the selected slot set. Players no longer need to remember which number holds which layout, and the mod swaps whole hotbar configurations quickly while building, crafting or switching tools.
The mod is client-side only, so the server does not need it and players can join servers without installing anything. Fabric API is required, and the mod is open source under the MIT License. Builds cover Minecraft 1.20.1 – 1.21.10 across 17 release versions, with the latest Fabric file, 0.2.0+mc1.21.9, targeting 1.21.10 and published on 2025-10-02.
Key features
Quick hotbar load
A saved hotbar layout can be restored in one step, without rebuilding the slots by hand.
Quick hotbar save
The current nine-slot layout can be stored to a numbered slot in the same gesture, letting players keep several setups ready.
Hold-to-select menu
Holding F3 opens the selection screen, and releasing F3 applies the chosen layout, so the keys stay consistent.
Rebindable keys
Two new keys are added to the controls settings and must be bound before the menu is used, and their hotkeys can be changed.

Use cases
Switching builds
A player can keep a set of tools for mining in one slot and a set of building blocks in another, then switch between them instantly.
Switching between activities
A layout for combat, another for farming and a third for exploration can each sit in its own saved slot.
Who it’s for: Players who use many different hotbar setups in singleplayer or on servers, and who want to avoid rearranging the hotbar each time. The mod does not change what items do, only how they are stored and recalled.
