Unessential Aspects
by Avrukey
Unessential Aspects adds two eerie dimensions, a dark world beneath a teal sky and a calm-looking dream realm, to a NeoForge world for 1.21.1, with a sacrificial dagger to start the journey.
What it does
The dark dimension sits beneath a teal sky, with dense ambience and six distinct biomes. Its inhabitants include the Nulljaws, the Witherboars and Black Moths, along with some less natural entities that react to the player. Void Sugilite is a material found there that is used to upgrade Netherite equipment.
The second dimension is a place that looks peaceful but keeps a steady low hum of sound, and its structures hold unusual objects. Beds connect the two worlds, since using a bed in the dream realm returns the player to the dark dimension. The mod also adds an in-game journal that records information pages as the player explores, observes creatures and collects special objects. Hidden entries stay concealed until the player actually discovers them.
The mod is still in development. The current beta adds worlds, some special encounters, resources and the journal, and the author plans to develop it further. The content includes unsettling imagery, eerie whispers, hostile creatures and occasional sudden encounters. The mod is published for NeoForge only, and the environment is client and server, so the server and every player need it. The code is all rights reserved and the mod is not open source.
