With this mod, the golden apple craft needs 4 gold ingots, half the vanilla cost, which suits events where gold is scarce.
What it does
The mod swaps the crafting pattern for golden apples so that a cross of gold ingots uses four pieces instead of eight. Everything else about the item stays as it is in the base game. Matches that hand out golden apples as food can run with less gold gathering before each craft.
Server owners who run minigames can install the mod alone to apply the reduced recipe for everyone on the server. Only the server needs it, so players join without installing anything. It is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with a data pack build also available, covering game versions 1.20.3 – 26.1.2 across 19 release versions.
The mod is released under All rights reserved and is not open source. Files are dated 2026-05-13 for both the first and last update.
