TPSShower

by Paolog

TPSShower is a Fabric client mod that displays the server's ticks per second and the client's own performance readings while a player is in the world.

FabricClient-side onlyAll rights reserved1.21 – 1.21.11

What it does

The mod shows how the game is lagging on the client side, using readings such as FPS and ping alongside the server tick rate. It also reports counts of entities, block entities and rendered chunks, so a player can see what in the world is adding load and decide whether to lower the render distance. Only the client needs the mod, so players can join a server without installing anything. Builds cover 1.21 – 1.21.11 on Fabric, with 2.0.0+1.21.9 for 1.21.11 as the latest file, under All rights reserved.

Key features

  1. Server tick rate estimate

    The mod estimates the server's ticks per second so a player can tell whether slow play comes from the server or the client.

  2. Frame and ping readings

    FPS and ping are shown together, giving a quick view of the client's current state during play.

  3. Load counters

    Entity, block entity and rendered chunk counts show what in the world is adding to the client's workload.

What the author says

I plan to add Fabric 1.18 -> 1.21 support (1.21 is already supported), and add a NeoForge (1.20 -> 1.21) & Forge (1.8; 1.12; 1.16; 1.18 -> 1.21) support. I plan of making TPSShower open-source too, but that will be not now
