TotemRefill

by thevelqor

TotemRefill puts a fresh Totem of Undying into the offhand slot after the one in use has fired, so a second totem is ready in a fight.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT License1.21.1 – 1.21.11

What it does

Once a totem has been used, TotemRefill takes a new Totem of Undying from the inventory and places it in the offhand automatically. The player does not need to open the inventory or move the item by hand during a fight, which matters in PvP, crystal fights and hardcore or survival challenge runs where a spare totem can decide whether a player survives.

The mod only acts on the offhand after a totem is consumed. It does not move other items, rearrange the hotbar or change how the inventory works, and it leaves the F key swap and manual inventory moves alone. Its scope is limited to that one task, so the rest of the game plays as it normally would.

TotemRefill is a client-side only Fabric mod with files for 1.21.1, 1.21.4, 1.21.5, 1.21.8 and 1.21.11. The latest file is 1.0.1+1.21.11 for 1.21.11, published 2026-06-09, and the code is released under the MIT License without being open source.

Key features

  1. Automatic offhand refill

After a Totem of Undying is used, a new one is moved into the offhand slot without any input from the player.

  2. Untouched manual control

Players can still take a totem out with F or move items in the inventory, and TotemRefill does not override those actions.

  3. Single task

The mod only refills the offhand after a totem is used and does nothing else with the inventory.

  4. Lightweight design

The mod is built to stay out of the way, so it adds little overhead to a running game.

What the author says

TotemRefill is a simple client-side QoL mod that automatically places a new Totem of Undying into your offhand after your current one is used. The mod is designed to stay out of your way. It does not put a totem in your offhand for no reason, and it will not fight against you when you manually remove one. If you take…
