Toggle Toggle Sprint

by celeste

Toggle Toggle Sprint reuses the game's own sprint toggle, so a player who turns on the toggle keeps sprinting until Minecraft stops it.

FabricClient-side onlyzlib LicenseOpen source1.19.4 – 26.3

What it does

The mod is a toggle-sprint option for modern Minecraft builds. Instead of forcing the player to sprint, it makes the game treat the sprint key as held through the existing toggle control, and Minecraft decides when sprinting actually applies. Fabric API is required for it to load.

An optional fix stops the game from resetting the toggle sprint setting after the player dies, which applies to 1.20.1 and later. If Mod Menu and YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL) are both installed, a few settings can be changed in-game. The mod is open source under the zlib License and is published only for Fabric, across 25 release versions, with builds covering 1.19.4 – 26.3.

Key features

  1. Reuses the toggle control

Sprinting is driven by the existing toggle logic rather than a forced sprint state, so the game still decides when sprinting is possible.

  2. Death reset fix

Keeps the toggle sprint setting from being reset when the player dies, for versions 1.20.1 and later.

  3. In-game options

With Mod Menu and YACL installed, a small set of configuration options can be edited in the game.

  4. Anti-cheat friendly design

Because Minecraft itself evaluates sprinting, the mod avoids sprinting in places the game would not allow, which lowers the chance of a server flagging it.

This also includes a fix for preventing the game from resetting your toggle sprint upon death (only applicable for 1.20.1+). If both [Mod Menu] and [YACL] are installed, this mod also contains a few configuration options that can be modified in-game.
