TinyInv
by Sophka
With TinyInv, a server owner can shrink or reshape the inventory, hotbar, armor and crafting slots that a player gets, either for everyone or for one player at a time.
What it does
The mod changes how many slots each player has, and which of them work. Inventory and hotbar slots can be reduced, the hotbar can also be enlarged, and the offhand slot, individual armor slots and individual crafting input slots can each be switched off. These changes apply globally through the config file, or to a single player through attribute modifiers.
The mod also includes a datapack route for attaching modifiers to gear and effects, so slot limits can be tied to items or effects instead of being fixed for everyone. TinyInv is published for Forge only, across four release versions, with 1.1.0.1 for 1.20.1 as the latest file. It runs on the client and the server, so both sides need it, and it is released under the MIT License as open source. It is required by AW3S0FT Technologies.
Key features
Smaller inventory
The number of inventory slots can be reduced for every player or for one player through attribute modifiers.
Adjustable hotbar
The hotbar can be shortened or lengthened, so the count of quick-access slots is set by the server.
Disabled slots
The offhand slot, individual armor slots and individual crafting input slots can each be turned off.
Datapack modifiers
Modifiers can be attached to items and effects with datapacks, without changing code.

Use cases
Who it’s for: The mod suits server owners and modpack authors who want to control slot counts through the config file or datapacks. Players on a server that runs it need it installed as well, since both sides run the mod.
How it compares
InvConfig is a Forge mod for 1.20.1 that shares the client and server environment and is open source under the MIT License. Column-Quick-Swap is a Forge mod for 1.20.1 – 1.20.6 under the MIT License, not open source. Slots covers Fabric and Forge for 1.20 – 1.20.1 and is open source under the MIT License, with client and server use. TinyInv differs in limiting the slots themselves rather than swapping them, and it is Forge only.
