Tinkers' Tools

by OOrreeooss

Tinkers' Tools adds tool heads and handles that extend the Tinkers tool system, letting players build a mace, hammer, dolabra, hoe and other specialised tools from tool parts.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.20.1

What it does

The mod adds three tool parts: a Mace Head, a Shovel Blade and a Slender Blade. Each part is combined with other materials in the tool workflow, so a tool's behaviour depends on which parts and materials go into it.

The new tools follow the same pattern as the originals in the tool system. A dolabra breaks wood and stone quickly but is slower on most other small tools, a hammer is a 3x3 mining tool that deals considerable damage, and a hoe tills dirt and clears plants while offering two extra upgrade slots. A mace is a slow weapon that deals damage and pierces armor, and it works like the vanilla Minecraft mace. The hammer mines ores extra slowly.

Tinkers' Tools is published for Forge and NeoForge for 1.20.1 only, under the MIT License and open source. Installation covers the server and each player's game. Files are dated 2026-06-22 for version 1.3.0. The source code and issue tracker are public.

Key features

  1. Mace Head part

A mace head part that makes a tool a slow, armor-piercing weapon with the behaviour of the vanilla mace.

  2. Shovel Blade and Slender Blade

Two additional tool parts that give the new tools their digging and cutting shapes.

  3. Hammer and dolabra

A 3x3 hammer mining tool and a dolabra that is fast on wood and stone but slower on most other small tools.

  4. Hoe with extra slots

A hoe that tills dirt, clears plants and has two extra upgrade slots for further modifications.
