Tinker's Planner
by tiffit
With Tinker's Planner open, a player can draft a tool from Tinkers' Construct before crafting it, checking its stats in advance.
What it does
Tinker's Planner is a Forge addon for Tinkers' Construct. Its blueprint icon sits on the Tinker Station and Tinker's Anvil; clicking it opens the Planner interface, where a tool can be drafted from parts and its statistics such as mining speed and durability previewed. Drafts can be bookmarked and sorted by tool type, and the mod can also generate random tool combinations for fun. Once a plan is ready, a bookmarked tool can be pinned to either station's interface and crafted from there.
Clicking a tool's icon in the Planner tries to place the required tool parts into the correct slots of the inventory automatically. Where parts are missing or in the wrong slots, the Planner reports which ones before the craft is completed. The mod is entirely client-side and needs Tinkers' Construct as a required dependency. Its files are published for Forge, for 1.16.5 and 1.18.2, under the MIT License and open source, with 1.2.0 as the latest 1.18.2 build from 2023-01-02.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Players who already use Tinkers' Construct and want to plan tool builds before crafting them. Because the mod is client-side only, a server does not need to install it.
How it compares
Tinkers' Innovation runs on both client and server and is open source under the MIT License, with builds for 1.18.2 – 1.20.1 on Forge and NeoForge. TConJEI is also client-side only and open source under the MIT License, covering 1.18.2 – 1.20.1 on Forge and NeoForge, but it is an item-lookup tool rather than a drafting interface. Tinkers' Enchanting is server required with an optional client and is open source under the MIT License, built only for Forge across 1.20.1 – 1.20.6.
