Reforged (formerly Tiered)

Reforged gives tools, weapons and armor a random modifier that adds stat bonuses and abilities, and a hammer system to reroll them.
What it does
Each tool, weapon and armor piece the player crafts receives a modifier. Modifiers grant stat bonuses and special abilities, and an item's stats can be rerolled by placing it in an anvil together with the matching hammer. Three hammers exist, each bought from a different villager: the Toolsmith's Hammer from a Toolsmith at level 4, the Weaponsmith's Hammer from a Weaponsmith that sometimes offers it at level 4, and the Armorer's Hammer from an Armorer at level 4.
Reforged is a fork and continuation of Tiered, which drew on Quality Tools. It requires UnionLib and runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, covering 1.19 – 26.2 across eleven release versions, and the code is under the MIT License and open source.

The hammers listed here are the defaults. A datapack may change which item rerolls which tool, so its creator is the source for that setup.

Simplest Hammers is a Forge and NeoForge mod released under the MIT License, open source, with files for 1.20.1 – 26.2. Only Hammers works on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge for 1.19 – 26.3 and is not open source, under All rights reserved. Simply Tools covers Forge and NeoForge for 1.19 – 1.21.1 under the Apache License 2.0.
