Thermal Expansion is the original mod in the Thermal Series, adding energy generation, energy storage and resource processing machines to the game.

What it does

The mod forms the industrial base of the Thermal Series. Its machines cover power generation, energy storage and the processing of raw resources, and it requires Thermal Foundation to run. Thermal Expansion is part of a modular series, so players and server owners can add or leave out its companion mods to fit their worlds.

Forge is the only loader with published files. Thermal Expansion runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Builds exist for 1.16.5, 1.18.2, 1.19.2 and 1.20.1, with 11.0.1 as the latest Forge file for 1.20.1. The code is released under All rights reserved, so the mod is not open source. Eight catalog mods require it, among them KubeJS Thermal, Thermal: Extra and Thermal Construct.
