TheNexusProject is a Forge magic mod in which players take on characters from other fictional universes, each with a signature item and set of abilities.

What it does

Players holding a character's signature item gain access to that character's custom health pool, potion effects, active abilities, resource bars and thematic weaknesses. The mod brings figures from games and shows such as Undertale, Hazbin Hotel and Sonic the Hedgehog into one world, and the author describes a custom voice chat as part of the package.

The signature weapon is a Red Knife with 7 base damage and infinite durability. Holding it grants a passive potion effect of infinite resistance. Each ability carries its own cooldown, so the knife slash, freeze and hate mark are spaced out in combat.

TheNexusProject requires Curios API, Cyclops Core, EvilCraft and Kotlin for Forge. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. Files are published for Forge, with version 1.0.12 for 1.20.1 as the latest file, and the mod is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.

  1. Character signature items

    Each character is tied to one signature item, and holding it grants that character's powers and health pool.

  2. Red Knife weapon

    The Red Knife deals 7 base damage with infinite durability and works as a swift melee attack.

  3. Freeze ability

    Freeze holds players and mobs within a 5-block radius still, with a 1 minute cooldown.

  4. Hate mark and aura

    Hate Mark makes a marked target take more damage from the player, and Red/Black Aura emits a 5-block radius effect, each on a 1 minute cooldown.
