TFC Heat Treatment adds a quenching and tempering process for TerraFirmaCraft tools, where a heated tool that is cooled in water gains enchantment bonuses.

What it does

Only tools made from iron, steel, color steel and perfect-quality materials can be quenched. The first time a tool is quenched and tempered it gains the enchantments that match the quench result. A tool is preheated to 250°C, then thrown into a cauldron filled with water, and the bonuses depend on the temperature reached during quenching. A Perfect Quench grants Efficiency V, Sharpness V and Unbreaking III, a Fine Quench grants Efficiency III, Sharpness III and Unbreaking II, and a Successful Quench grants Efficiency, Sharpness and Unbreaking I.

The quenching system was split out of a larger modpack into a standalone release. Custom datapacks are supported. Version 1.1 changes the tooltip values for the bonuses. TerraFirmaCraft is required. Both the server and every player need the mod, since the environment is client and server. Files are published for Forge and NeoForge, with 1.0.5 for 1.20.1 and 1.1 for 1.21.1 as the latest builds, under All rights reserved.
