Telepost
by muriplz
Telepost lets server owners limit teleportation by placing posts, so travel between bases depends on where each player has built.
What it does
Players create posts at chosen locations, and a post serves as a point a player can teleport to or call home from. The config.json file sets the minimum gap between posts, which defaults to 1000 blocks, and no post can be created closer to another post than that. Ally posts lower the distance a player must keep, and enemy posts raise it, so the spacing reflects the social ties on a server. A player can also teleport standing inside another post, and a teleport hall can be built for players to use.
The mod is meant for survival servers that want teleportation to feel earned rather than instant. Permission management controls the maximum number of posts per player, and per-player settings let server owners adjust the distance rules without changing the config for everyone. Telepost requires Fabric API and LuckPerms, and it optionally works with BlueMap and WorldEdit. It is server-side only, so players join without installing anything. Files cover Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt across 8 release versions, 1.20 – 1.21.4, and the code is open source under the MIT License. TelepostMissions requires Telepost.
Key features
Post spacing rule
Posts cannot be created closer than the configured distance to another post, which keeps teleport network nodes apart.
Ally and enemy distance rules
Ally posts reduce the required distance for new posts, while enemy posts increase it, for each player.
Post location selection
Creating a post requires the player to select a location, so the placement is deliberate.
Home posts
Each player can set a post as their own home and call it from anywhere on the network.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Server owners who run survival or faction servers and want to control how travel spreads across the map.
How it compares
Fiw Warp is server-side only, uses the MIT License and is published for 1.21.11 on Fabric and NeoForge. Homabric is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, runs as an optional mod on client or server, and covers 1.17.1 – 26.3 on Fabric and Quilt. Telepost is server-side only and covers 1.20 – 1.21.4, but it limits travel through post spacing rather than offering free home teleports.
