Take Show is a Fabric expansion for Minecraft 26.1.2 that gives underused items new roles in mining, defense and exploration.
What it does
Certain tools briefly reveal hidden ores in the stone around them after a normal block break, so players can spot the next vein without stripping away the surrounding terrain. The highlight is short and limited on purpose, which keeps exploration open rather than turning caves into a full X-ray view.
Shields gain reactions at close range. Enchantments and effects can punish an attacker who strikes the player, and an echo-style utility emits short pings that help locate nearby threats or targets in dark caves, with particles and sounds giving clear feedback. Each effect carries trade-offs, cooldowns or temporary drawbacks, and the mechanics are kept readable.
The mod is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only and runs on client and server. Players and servers should install it on both sides for the full experience. Fabric API is required, and the only published build is mc26.1.2-0.0.1 for 26.1.2, released 2026-04-19 on the alpha channel. A small set of advancements guides first-time use of the new items.
