Taczlevel, a Forge and NeoForge equipment mod by Asachis, adds an upgrade system for firearms from the TaCZ gun pack, driven by two new blocks.
What it does
Two blocks are added: a gun upgrade platform and a creative gun upgrade platform. The standard platform consumes one Nether Star to enable an upgrade option on a TaCZ firearm, and the consumed item can be changed in the config. The creative platform has no limit: every upgrade option can be enabled at level 1 without consuming anything.
Four upgrade options are available: reloading speed, armor penetration, recoil reduction and fire rate. Once an option is enabled it must reach level 50 before the next option can be activated. Experience for leveling comes from dealing damage, killing animals, and killing neutral or hostile creatures. The per-level bonus, the bonus level cap and the maximum bonus limit can all be adjusted in the config.
The mod needs [TaCZ] Timeless and Classics Zero and [UNOFFICIAL] TaCZ 1.21.1 NeoForge Port, and the upgrade system works with the TaczAttributeAdd and KubeJS addons. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. Files are published for Forge 1.20.1 and NeoForge 1.21.1, under the MIT License, and the source code is public.
