Tablist Filters
by kleiders3010
Tablist Filters lets a player give friends' names a chosen color in the tab list, on their own client only.
What it does
A player adds a name to a color list with the tablist command, and that name then appears in the chosen color every time it shows in the tab list. Colors such as red, light purple and gold are set this way, and the default gold value is not treated as valid input. Names are removed from the list with a matching remove command, and the whole filter can be turned off and back on with a deactivate option. Setting it to true disables the filter, and false enables it; the default is false and the choice is kept for the session.
The change happens only in the player's own client, so the server receives nothing and other players see the original names. On a server that already uses tab list colors, the client-side filter can add a personal color for friends without affecting anyone else. The mod depends on Fabric API, which must be installed alongside it, and it is published only for Fabric. Files cover 1.19.2 and 1.19.4, with 1.0.0 for 1.19.4 as the latest release, and the code is under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.
Key features
Colored friend names
Names added to the list show in a chosen color in the tab list, so friends stand out among other players.
Add and remove commands
The tablist add and tablist remove commands edit the list of names, one player name per command.
Color selection
Standard color names such as red, light purple and gold can be used for the entries in the list.
Toggle the filter
A deactivate option switches the filter off or on, and the setting resets to its default for each session.

Who it’s for: Players on Fabric who want to highlight certain names in the tab list on the servers they join, and who already run Fabric API.
How it compares
Wider Tab is client-side only, open source under the MIT License and published for 1.19.4 – 26.1.2, so it covers a wider version range. PlayerHider is also client-side only but is not open source; it is published under All rights reserved for 1.20 – 1.20.4 and hides players rather than coloring them. FriendChat is client-side only, open source under the MIT License and published for 1.21.11, which is a different version than this mod's files.

What the author says
This mod adds a couple of commands to control the color of the name of your friends in servers; This is purely clientside, so you can put "/tablist add DrEggman green", and the name "DrEggman" will always appear green when playing in any server with them! The colors supported can be found in under the colors area…
