What it does

T28's Universal Veinminer is a Forge mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 that lets a player remove an entire ore vein by breaking one block while holding the Sneak key. Detection runs in two ways for maximum compatibility: blocks carrying the forge:ores tag are recognized, and blocks are also identified by their ore ID, which lets most modded ores work without extra setup. The author describes the mod as lightweight and configurable.

Vanilla ores are covered as well. Fortune and Silk Touch enchantments apply to every block in the vein, and each ore drops its corresponding experience orbs. Ancient Debris receives special handling: it drops Netherite Scraps directly, and Fortune adds extra drops to them.

The server is the side that must run the mod, so the server is required and the client is optional. Players join without installing it, while the server applies the vein behavior to everyone who connects. The mod is published for Forge only, with a single game version, 1.20.1, and its latest file is 1.0.2, released on 2026-05-02. The source code is publicly available, but the mod is not open source and is released under All rights reserved.
