Swordtember 2024
Swordtember 2024 is a Forge equipment mod that adds a set of themed swords, each with its own combat effect, released one at a time during September 2024.
What it does
Each sword in the mod has a distinct effect. The Endblade applies levitation on hit, the Reverse Sword damages the wielder's targets in return, and the Uranium Sword inflicts poison on both the target and the one holding it. Several swords trigger on right-click instead: the Heavenly Blade makes nearby entities glow, the LIGHT sword creates a flashbang that also affects the player, and the Steampunk Sword launches nearby mobs into the air. Right-click abilities carry a cooldown, 10 seconds for the flashbang and 15 seconds for the Steampunk Sword.
Other swords work through chance or environment. The Circuitblade has a 20% chance to strike the target with lightning, the Vinesword holds a struck target on a natural block for 10 seconds, the Aquablade is unbreakable and deals extra damage to targets in water, and the Soar-d works as a plane. The mod was released in parts, with daily updates through the end of the month. Files are published for Forge on 1.20.1, and the latest is version 1.8.0, dated 2024-09-15.
