Swirling Smoke makes chimney and campfire smoke drift with a wind that changes as the weather does, so plumes bend and spread across the landscape.
What it does
Wind strength can sit anywhere along a range, from still air and light breezes up to strong winds and abrupt gusts. Its direction and strength shift over time, and rain and thunderstorms change how it behaves. Smoke rises with height and follows the terrain, bending around hills, walls and other obstacles instead of moving in straight lines.
Caves stay mostly still, though occasional underground drafts can move smoke there. Configurable wind behavior options let players adjust how the effect is applied. The mod runs on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across the 1.16.5 – 26.2 range, and Fabric API is required on Fabric. It is released under the MIT License and is not open source.
