Survival Reimagined

by GMG

Survival Reimagined makes Minecraft harder by adding a progression that moves from flint sticks and stones through bronze and steel to diamond, with more realistic survival demands.

NeoForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.21.1

What it does

Survival Reimagined sets a slower path through the game. Players start with flint sticks and stones, then advance through bronze and steel toward diamond tools. Hunger drains faster depending on the activities a player performs, and staying out in darkness or during a Bloodmoon adds further pressure, so shelter and timing matter. Meat spoils over time, which pushes players toward storage and cooking.

The mod is built to be paired with the optional mods the author recommends, including Tough Nails and Serene Seasons, and an advancement tree viewer is suggested to follow the new progression. Installation covers the server and each player's game. Builds are published for NeoForge only, for 1.21.1, with 1.3.8 as the latest file.

Key features

  1. Material progression

Tools and gear advance from flint and stone through bronze and steel to diamond, with each tier opening the next.

  2. Hunger and exhaustion

Hunger drains more quickly during demanding activities, so food becomes a regular concern rather than a background stat.

  3. Darkness and Bloodmoon

Time spent in darkness and during a Bloodmoon adds danger, encouraging players to stay indoors at those hours.

  4. Spoiling meat

Meat decays over time, so players need to store and prepare food before it goes bad.
