Statestream
by SQRT256_
Statestream is a server-side optimization mod for Minecraft that reworks how block state lookups and neighbor block updates are handled.
What it does
The mod focuses on three of the costliest paths in the server loop and swaps them for compact implementations that suit the CPU cache. A BlockState cache removes repeated HashMap traversals during the border calculations used in chunk rendering, and reactive ticking cuts the time spent on the tick thread.
Five of the most queried block properties, including solid, opaque, hasCollision, isAir and lightEmission, are pre-baked into a flat array at startup with one entry per blockstate ID, so each query reads one slot rather than walking a map. Fewer short-lived objects are created each tick, which reduces garbage collection pauses.
Statestream requires Fabric API on Fabric. Its optimizations are independently toggleable, and if a configuration is invalid the mod disables itself and falls back to vanilla behavior. The mod runs on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with files for 26.1 – 26.1.2, and the 1.0.1 build is the latest release for 26.1.2.
Key features
BlockState cache
A cache avoids repeated map traversals while chunk rendering border calculations are performed.
Pre-baked block properties
Five frequently queried properties are stored in a flat array, so each lookup is one read.
Reactive ticking
Tick processing is reduced to the work that is actually needed, lowering the time spent on the tick thread.
Independent toggles
Each optimization can be switched off separately, and a bad configuration falls back to vanilla.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
Requirements
Dependencies declared by the latest file for each loader.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Server owners who want lower tick times on a server that players join, and players who host a world on the same machine they play on.
How it compares
Blindspot is a Fabric client-side mod for 26.1 – 26.3, released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only and open source, so it changes the client rather than the server. Sepals is a server-side mod for Fabric and NeoForge covering 1.21 – 26.3 under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, and is open source. Statestream is server-side too, but is not open source and is released under the MIT License.

What the author says
Radical performance optimization for Minecraft 26.1.2 — zero gameplay changes, guaranteed. StateStream surgically targets three of the most expensive hot-paths in Minecraft's server loop and replaces them with lean, cache-friendly implementations. Every optimization is independently toggleable and self-disabling on…
