StackCluster Optimizer
by Idk_my_naam
StackCluster Optimizer is a client-side Fabric mod that hides piles of identical dropped items to reduce frame-rate loss on the client.
What it does
When many items of the same type sit on the ground together, the game draws each one as a separate entity, which can drop the frame rate, most noticeably after a mob farm releases a bulk of drops. StackCluster detects clusters of the same item and hides a configurable share of them visually. The items themselves are not removed: they still exist, and a hidden item is picked up normally when the player walks over it.
The fix runs only on the client, so a server does not need the mod and players can join servers without installing it. Two settings control the search and the culling: the cluster radius sets how far the mod looks for neighboring items, and the minimum cluster size sets how many items must sit together before any are hidden. The cull percentage sets how many items in a cluster stay hidden, and a master toggle turns the behavior on or off in game.
Installing the mod requires Fabric API and Cloth Config API. Mod Menu is optional and adds an in-game configuration screen built with Cloth Config. The mod is released under All rights reserved and is not open source. Its only published file is 1.0.0 for 1.21.11, dated 2026-05-01.
Key features
Visual culling of item piles
Identical items in a dense cluster are hidden on screen, while the items remain in the world and in the player's inventory when collected.
Adjustable cluster search
The cluster radius and minimum cluster size decide when culling starts, so the mod can be tuned to sparse or dense drops.
Cull percentage setting
The share of a cluster that stays hidden is configurable, so the balance between visual load and visible items can be set by the player.
In-game configuration
A master on/off toggle and a settings screen are available, with the screen opened through Mod Menu when that mod is installed.
Default tuning
The defaults use a 3 block radius, a minimum of 3 items and a 90% cull, a conservative setting. For large mob farm drops, a radius of 5 to 6 with a 95% cull is suggested for the highest frame rates.

How it compares
Xylene is client-side only, runs on Fabric for 1.21.11 and is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source. Advancements Screen Optimizer is also client-side only but targets 1.21 – 1.21.1 and is open source under the MIT License. TNT Optimizer is server-side only, released under the MIT License and published for Fabric 1.21.11, so a server must run it and players do not need it.
