Scape and Run Parasites Addon: Cotesia Glomerata

Cotesia Glomerata is a Forge add-on for Scape and Run: Parasites on Minecraft 1.12.2. It requires Scape and Run: Parasites, Geckolib and MixinBooter, and the card does not cover any other loader. The add-on runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. The package is released under All rights reserved and is not open source.

The add-on changes how the player appears to mobs. Hiding makes a player look like a parasite, and mobs that normally target players stop targeting the player while still targeting the parasites. Parasites still attack whatever strikes them, so a player who hides can still be hit. Players who take on the new body receive the parasite's effects, and when they die they die the way a parasite does. The add-on works alongside Mobends Real First Person 2.

The author notes a fire weakness and says the guidebook mechanics are explained through Patchouli, which the add-on installs. Many tooltips are visible only to a parasite, and the add-on's own description of its experience is blunt: a player who finds the content upsetting is advised to seek professional support. The add-on's latest Forge file is published on 2025-06-08 on the beta channel.
