SLIMEasier

by Marvvinekk

Players short of slime balls can get them from leaves, campfires and crafting, and SLIMEasier is the mod that adds those routes to the game.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.19.2 – 1.21.1

What it does

SLIMEasier adds ways to obtain slime balls without hunting slimes. Breaking leaves while chopping trees has a small chance to drop sticky leaves. Tossing sticky leaves onto a campfire cooks them into slime scraps, and four slime scraps can be crafted into a slime ball. The drop rates for these sources can be adjusted in the SLIMEasier config file.

The mod runs on Forge and NeoForge across three game versions, 1.19.2 – 1.21.1, with files for 1.19.2, 1.20.1 and 1.21.1. Both the server and every player need it, since the environment is client and server. SLIMEasier is licensed as All rights reserved and is not open source. Its latest Forge and NeoForge files, version 1.3, were published on 2024-12-12.

Key features

  1. Sticky leaves from trees

Breaking leaves has a small chance to drop sticky leaves, so chopping trees can supply slime material.

  2. Campfire cooking

Sticky leaves tossed onto a campfire turn into slime scraps, offering a route that needs no slimes.

  3. Slime ball crafting

Four slime scraps combine into one slime ball, ready for recipes that call for it.

  4. Configurable drop rates

A config file lets the server or player change how often each source drops, to suit a world's balance.

Use cases

Crafting without slime hunting

A player building slime-based items can collect the material from trees and a campfire instead of searching for slimes in swamps and caves.

Adjusted progression

A server owner can change the drop rates in the config file to make slime balls more or less common.

Who it’s for: Players who run out of slime balls in survival worlds, and server owners who want an adjustable alternative to hunting slimes.
