Sleep
by Jodek
Sleep lets a server change how many players must lie in bed before the night is skipped, and it can also warp time instead of jumping to morning.
What it does
Sleeping players appear over the hotbar, and the config sets how many of them have to sleep before the night skip starts; the default is 1. Chat and sound notifications about sleep can be turned off, sent to chat, played as a sound, or both.
The night can be skipped outright or handled as a time warp, where the clock runs faster for a set number of seconds, with 2 seconds and 5 seconds as the choices in the config. A companion data pack lets players sleep at any time of day. Idle players can also be left out of the sleeping total, which is controlled in the config.
Sleep is a server required mod: the server must run it, while clients may leave it out. It is released under the MIT License and is open source. Builds cover 1.19 – 26.3 for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with 5555ff-lib as an optional dependency.

Use cases
Server nights
Server owners can set the share of sleeping players needed to move the night along, to suit small or large groups.
Idle players
The config can exclude idle players from the sleeping count, so players who are away do not hold up the night.
Who it’s for: Server owners who want to control how sleep moves time forward, and players who run a server with a mix of sleepers and idle accounts.
How it compares
DayNap is server-side only, under the MIT License, and is not open source; it covers 1.19.2 – 26.3 on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge. Half Night Skip is server-side only, open source under the MIT License, and built for 1.21.11 on Fabric alone. Better Days runs on client and server, is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later, and covers 1.18.2 – 26.3 on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge.
