Slabs & Layers+ extends the vanilla slab and layer blocks with new variants for a range of different blocks, and it is built for Fabric on 1.20 – 1.20.4.
What it does
The mod adds a set of new slab and layer versions for different blocks in Minecraft, giving builders more shapes to place. The author first wrote the code after seeing a leaked preview of sand layers and planned to add a growing number of these variants over time, along with other new content for the game.
Development is irregular: the author has said updates come when motivation allows, sometimes every few weeks and at other times once a month or two. The author has also tested the mod alongside other content mods and reports that they work together. Any incompatibility should be reported through the project's issue tracker on GitHub, where the source code is also public.
Fabric API is a required dependency and must be installed with the mod. The server and every player need the mod installed. Files cover five releases, with version 3.0 for 1.20.4 as the latest file, published on 2023-12-09. The code is covered by All rights reserved, so the mod is not open source.
