Skip Transitions
by JavaChef
With Skip Transitions installed, the title screen buttons appear at once and the Mojang logo no longer fades over other menus.
What it does
The mod targets transition effects in the Minecraft menus that block input or slow navigation. Title screen buttons no longer fade in, so they cannot be pressed while still invisible. The Mojang logo no longer fades out on top of other menus, which otherwise freezes them for a moment. Skip Transitions also turns off a few cosmetic effects: the logo fade that appears after a resource pack change, the slide in and slide out of toast notifications, and the whoosh sound that goes with them.
The mod is a client-side optimization and utility. Only the client needs it, so players install it while servers run without it. It requires Fabric API and is published for Fabric alone. Files cover game versions 1.18 – 1.21.10, and 1.5.0+mc1.21.3 is the latest file, for 1.21.10. The code is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only.
Key features
Instant title screen buttons
Title screen buttons appear immediately rather than fading in, so they can be clicked at once.
No logo overlay on menus
The Mojang logo does not fade out over other menus, so those menus stay responsive during startup.
Resource pack logo cut
When resource pack changes are applied, the logo fade is replaced by a plain cut.
Static toast notifications
Toast notifications appear without the sliding in and sliding out animation.
Silent notifications
The whoosh sound that accompanies the toast slide is removed.
